A 20-year-old man could spend the rest of his life in prison after he allegedly fatally stabbed another young man during a fight outside a Brisbane train station.
Lauie Michael Tagaloa who is 24, died after being stabbed in the neck during the incident at the Fortitude Valley train station around 4 a.m. of Monday at Australia.
The Birkdale man who stabbed named Tagaloa has been charged with murder, an offense that carries a mandatory life sentence with a non-parole of 20 years in Queensland if he is convicted.
He will face charges at Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Police said the fight between the two groups began in the Brunswick Street shopping center before continuing down an alleyway leading to the train station.
